interpretation

Capability is more than a skill list

Reliable capability often comes from combinations: knowledge plus practice, tools, time, relationships, permission and evidence. A qualification may support capability but does not automatically prove it in every setting.

method

Map what can be exercised

For each useful outcome, list what you know, what you have done, tools or assets available, people who can help, constraints and evidence another person could inspect.

  • Knowledge
  • Practical experience
  • Tools and access
  • Relationships
  • Evidence
  • Limits or permissions
experiment

Combine two ordinary strengths

Choose two capabilities that are common separately but useful together. Describe one person or organisation that might benefit and what proof you could create in under two weeks.

Evidence to produce

A capability map with evidence and gaps.

Keep personal details private. Print it or store it in a location you control.
