Learning outcomes
  • Distinguish urgent from merely noisy
  • Identify essential obligations
  • Create a short stabilisation sequence
interpretation

Stability is a threshold

Optimisation is difficult while essential obligations remain uncertain. The first objective is not a perfect system; it is enough stability to think and act deliberately.

method

Triage the next seven days

List consequences, not just tasks. Protect safety, shelter, food, utilities, essential transport, legal deadlines and existing promises first. Mark who owns each action and its real deadline.

  • Must be handled now
  • Can be negotiated
  • Can be paused
  • Can be delegated
  • Is noise rather than obligation
experiment

Remove one source of false urgency

Make one call, cancel one unused commitment, request one confirmed balance or put one deadline into the calendar. Record whether the pressure fell after the uncertainty was removed.

Evidence to produce
